Pre-Programmed RF Remote Control

Radio Frequency Somfy RemoteThe default and most commonly used method for raising and lowering the artwork is a simple radio frequency (RF) remote, which has an UP, DOWN, and STOP button. This remote comes pre-programmed and paired with the standard ultra-quiet RTS motor at the top of the frame.

COST: Included in the price of the TV Art Cover. Additional remotes can be ordered here.

 

Pre-Programmed RF Wall Switch

The wall switch installs into any regular single gang switch receptacle and wirelessly sends a radio frequency (RF) signal to raise, lower, and stop the artwork. This switch operates on battery power only, and the above RF remote will still be included with the art. The control comes pre-programmed and paired with the standard ultra-quiet RTS motor at the top of the frame.

Universal Remote Interface/ IR Controlled

This optional upgrade gives you the added ability to easily pair any infrared (IR) universal remote to raise and lower the artwork, so you don't need the separate remote to control the art. With this device, the art can also be controlled via a 12V trigger or an external IR distribution box for more advanced applications.

NOTE: There is NOT an RF receiver in this motor. When a TV Art Cover is ordered with this motor type, the above white RF remote will not be included.

Somfy MyLink

This is a versatile device that allows WiFi control of a TV Art Cover from a smartphone app, Alexa, and more. We DO NOT actively offer customer support for this device. Support for this device is available solely through the motor manufacturer Somfy System. Past clients who preferred these capabilities have been successful in using this control method.

This control method can ONLY be used with a motor that has RF receivers built-in. AKA: for TV's 75" and under.

A hardwired ultra-quiet motor for the art that is directly wired from the art to two Normally Open (N/O) momentary contact closure relays on a home automation system to raise and lower the art. To also send a stop command, you would need a third relay. This unit can be battery or AC operated. This control method is recommended only for professional audio video installers. It's most commonly used with automation systems such as Savant, Control4, Crestron, URC, and many more similar systems.

NOTE: When using this type of motor, you can ONLY control the art directly via a hardwired system. There is NOT an RF Receiver in this motor. When a TV Art Cover is ordered with this motor type, the above white RF remote will not be included.

RS-485 Motor (for Professionals)

A hardwired ultra-quiet motor for the art that is directly connected using RS-485 to a home automation system to raise and lower the art. This unit can be battery or AC operated. This control method is recommended only for professional audio video installers. It's most commonly used with automation systems such as Savant, Control4, Crestron, URC, and many more similar systems.

NOTE: When using this type of motor, you can ONLY control the art directly via a hardwired system. There is NOT an RF Receiver in this motor. When a TV Art Cover is ordered with this motor type, the above white RF remote will not be included.

COST: $375 when purchased with the frame.

 

Infrared Relay System (IR-2)

IR-2 Infrared Relay System (RECOMMENDED)The infrared relay system is used for repeating the infrared signal that controls the functions of the TV and does not control the actual raising and lowering of the art. This would be separate from the above art control methods. VIEW IR-2 INSTRUCTIONS
